Dubbed "Mr. Creativity" and "a serial innovator" by The Economist , Dr. John Kao describes his job description as "instigator of new things." He is considered a leading authority on the subjects of innovation, organizational transformation, and digital media. He is author of the best-selling Jamming: The Art and Discipline of Business Creativity, a BusinessWeek best-seller that has been published in a dozen languages, and Innovation Nation , published in October, 2007.
By training, Dr. Kao has a BA from Yale College, an MD from Yale Medical School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He taught at HBS from 1982-96, where he specialized in innovation and entrepreneurship. He has also held faculty appointments at the MIT Media Lab, Yale College, and the US Naval Postgraduate School.
Dr. Kao's new book, Innovation Nation , describes the challenges America faces in attempting to reinvent its innovation edge at a time in which many nations are racing towards a new high ground shaped by innovation.

In 2001-02, Mr. Knobel was Adviser, Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, London, Tony Blair's Downing Street think tank that examines medium- and long-range strategic issues. He was involved in work on science and technology policy, energy security and speculative work examining truly long-range challenges for the UK. From 1992-2000 he was Editor-in-Chief and Director of the Programme for the World Economic Forum. He has degrees from Princeton University and Oxford University.
